because it’s a recession and I am a cheap bitch
Today while I was shopping I got to watch a group of young, male, Europeans try on bikini underwear over their jeans in a department store. Now that this is officially off my bucket list, I guess becoming the first Ginger President is back on the Horizon.
Carry On!
I was pretty productive today. Work was great, Im in good standing for the month so this is the perfect time to get a way without anyone really noticing.
I did some shopping today, did damage as Sephora, amongst some other places. Tried to cancel my gym membership so I can join one thats closer to the new place, but they want 30 days notice…so I guess Regis & Kelly, you’re stuck with me for another month.
Food Shopping, Laundry, Furniture Shopping all done.
Found out via Twitter that this place Money & go to for cheap Mojitos, well Eric Clapton & Jimmy Buffet were there at the bar..figures the night I choose to do laundry.
Now off to bed, goodnight Bunnies
Walked around a lot and just tried to take in the city we have been neglecting lately. Sometimes life just catches you, kicks your ass, and puts everything in perspective again.
Went to Crocodile Lounge and took advantage of their “buy a beer, get a free pizza”. Walked around the Lower East Side, stopped into Rice to Riches for my favorite Graham Cracker Rice Pudding, and then relaxed at Sweet & Vicious where i think I had the greatest cranberry juice & vodka of my life. The bartender muddled the lime with a little bit of sugar…so good. We sat in the outdoor garden area & listened to this jazz band that was playing in the back of the bar.
Trying to lighten our mood we hit up the early show at the Comedy Cellar, lucky us Jim Norton & the girl from Z Rock showed up to tryout some new material.
Money and I went shopping for new apartment things *so exciting*. This is my one favorite thing about moving - new stuff!
We went down to Wall Street and grabbed the “free” Ikea Water Taxi to Red Hook. The Ikea is very similar to the others I have been to, however they really show you how to maximize small spaces. The showroom setups are more “New York” Friendly, they don’t carry the big L-Shaped couches, and 10 person dining room tables there - which would be very unnecessary I suppose.
I basically got everything else I needed and it all gets delivered to the apartment today. Now all I need is someone to put all this crap together for me.
So I never forget shit this classic
I’m on the 1 train uptown. There’s a brother and sister, sitting across from one another. Keep in mind he has a huge zit on his forehead. The sister is up in his face, tormenting the shit out of him. After about 3 minutes he’s like please leave me alone. She sits back on her side and says: “Ok Freddy Pimple Face, I’ll leave you alone”. He gets up, walks over to her and punches her dead in her stomach…she throws up right then and there. I burst out laughing uncontrollably…the mother looks at me “Please don’t encourage them”… encourage? Lady your son is my fucking hero.
You continue to imagine you have a samurai sword in your hands, “slashing” all dogs, people, and other swordless children that walk by. You are too young too understand, but you sir…are my idol
Normally I do not get too caught up in this shit….but over 114 visits this week, 26 new visitors this month, and over 16 absolute unique visitors have visited this blog over 201+ times. I guess this is what happens when you don’t run an analytics report in a month.
